Abusive and Racist comments passed
I'm writing to you regarding an utterly bitter and racist experience at Wahaca Southbank. The incident occurred between 9:15 and 9:30 pm on July 16th, 2022. The server who was seemingly from Bangladesh passed lewd and racist remarks at my girlfriend. He was way abusive (in Hindi) about her height, skin tone and things that cannot be mentioned. This is a serious matter. I've attempted to provide my feedback on the site but I'm not sure if it is going through. Her friends were kind enough not to call the police. We'd like his name and other details for a formal complaint. Please reach out to me regarding this matter. This is time-sensitive.

I was really excited to try this. First of all the food was lovely, however the customer experience was not. I accept that this is a busy restaurant but it felt more like a cattle market and you were left with the impression that you were fortunate to be there. The waiter was surly. The service was minimal to say the least, which you might expect from this type of restaurant where food is served as it’s cooked, but then they add on a 10% service charge which you have to ask to be removed as you are unable to decline this on your card without specifically asking for it to be removed/ amended and I did not feel that the service received warranted that level of tip which was awkward. You are left feeling that this is another chain trying to maximise profits without paying their staff a reasonable wage and expecting customer tips to pick up the shortfall which runs contrary to the image they portray on their website. On this experience alone I would not go again.

Covent Garden
I visited the restaurant in Covent Garden was fairly excited as I'm dairy intolerant and the menu looked fabulous.
On arrival I informed the waiter who proceeded to throw down some sort of disclaimer that consisted of 5 pages that I was not prepared to read as I was out with friends and it would have taken a while.
The food was dreadful...small portions and very greasy. The ladies bathrooms were disgusting smelly and filthy. I was hugely disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant very poor service, dirty and rubbish food!

The gentleman at the receptionist desk was so rude and unprofessional. We live locally and every now and then we go there as we love and enjoy Mexican food. Since our last disrespectful experience and service we decided not to ever go there. As a customer I urge you to give proper training to your colleagues how to treat the customers with respect and do not act like you own the restaurant.

Slow and inattentive service at the Cardiff Restaurant.
Table not ready on arrival.
Drinks expensive and wines not chilled.
Portion sizes inadequate.
Confusing and inconvenient payment method, with a presumptuous 10% service charge added to the bill and which could only be removed by hunting down a member of staff who had been illusive throughout our stay.
Food tasted good.
Politically incorrect
We had a good evening but it did not start well!! Our initial drinks order was for 2 different beers and a bottle of wine. Imagine our response that none of the three were available because of Brexit. We found these excuse totally confusing as one of the beers was made in Brixton and the wine was made in Argentina. Get real Guys and Girls, do not treat your clientele as uneducated and don't use Brexit as an excuse for your shortcomings.

GET LESS TACOS FOR THE SAME PRICE (2 NOT 3 IN A PORTION), NO FREE SAUCES, EVERYTHING WAS COLD - WE SENT IT BACK ONCE BUT IT WOULD HAVE RUINED OUR DINNER TO KEEP REPEATING. YOU HAVE TO PAY WITH A QR CODE - SO IF THE WAITER DOES NOTHING WHY ARE YOY AUTO CHARGING A TIP?? ALSO TOO NOISY FOR GROWN UPS! NEVER AGAIN

They asked us to leave the table after because they needed it in 5 minutes in. Waterloo, we didnt even finish our drinks!
The food was okay but I am definetely not coming back after this bad experience, almost they kicked us out after we ate when we were having drinks and chatting

Very good experience
Very good experience! We were seated quickly.. Got the sweet potato and feta taquito brilliant choice and few other bit.. like the fact the waiters recommended whats best to have .. thank you very much too Ed, Julio, vali.. brilliant waiters thanks for your time.. especially Julio big thanks too him for your time and patience..
If you need good food and good service will recommend 100%.. this is the Westfield Stratford City restaurant
Really poor customer service
Really poor customer service. The Brighton restaurant is the most unwelcoming inhospitable restaurant I’ve ever been in. Ruined an otherwise perfect birthday thanks to two very arsey waitresses.

I'm shocked I have to write review for…
I'm shocked I have to write review for one star but I'm totally shocked by wahaca customers service.
We love wahaca and we visit quite often, so recently we ordered take away due to coronavirus. We were out in town so we decided to collect, I used wahaca app for order, sadly my payment was 'declined by provider' 3 times when I was using apple pay. Finally I was able to make my order when I put my card number in to app. Everything when well, we collected without any problem.
Few days later I noticed I was charged 4 times by wahaca, and transaction was not pending which meant it went through. I contacted wahaca straight away, I been told that they will look in to it and we contact me asap. They refunded me one of transactions but still no word about 2 others.
It's more than week later, I sent few messages, and got no response. I feel totally ignored and basically robed of +40 pounds.
Contacted my card provider as last resort. Sad that it came to this, never had problem like that in my life

We had such a lovely experience in the Southbank branch yesterday. Every member of the team there smiled and greeted us. We were served by the lovely Juan. It was my birthday and he, along with some of his friends came and sang happy birthday to me. He gave us free churros and a shot of something each. The food was great but the service was outstanding.

Not impressed...never again
I found the waiter and waitresses to be very friendly, however considering there were less than 10 people in the resturant they were not very attentive and Struggled to get the attention of either the waiter or waitresses when we need one. The food was ok, however I found my burrito to be very dry and not very tasty and I ordered extra guacamole for my burrito to arrive and it not be inside. When I brought it to someone’s attention the just provided the guacamole on the side and not inside the burrito as I had ordered. Also I ordered one pot of tea but two were brought to my table, however this was removed from my bill and the waiter did apologise. Also we were sitting towards the back of the resturant and I don’t know if it was because we were at the back of the resturant but it was too cold which made our experience uncomfortable and not as enjoyable. The cocktails were lovely and made well, however as much as I found my waiter to be pleasant and friendly due to the overall experience I would not dine at this restaurant again and wouldn’t recommend this resturant either.
